Wildlife Of Southeastern United States

Matthew Moore has over 20 years of field experience working with native herpetofauna of the southeastern United States. He is employed as a field technician with the Wildlife Resources Section of Georgia Department of Natural Resources Non-Game Division. He has also worked as a contracted surveyor for snake fungal disease with The Orianne Society. Matthew has co-authored several articles that have been published in scientific journals and has written numerous articles on snakes native to the southeastern United States for nature magazines. Dirk J. Stevenson is the Lead Biologist and Owner of Altamaha Environmental Consulting. He has over 25 years of experience conducting field studies of reptiles and amphibians. Dirk has worked for The NatureConservancy, the Department of Defense, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, and The Orianne Society. Dirk has published a number of technical and popular articles which have appeared in nature magazines and journals. Many of his photographs have appeared in Amphibians and Reptiles of Georgia (2008, University of Georgia Press). He is also a regular nature columnist for The Savannah Morning News.
